Zouak Maroc celebrates the rich tradition of zouak, a term in Moroccan Arabic that refers to intricate, handmade decorations and motifs. These designs are integral to various traditional arts, including plasterwork, henna, embroidery, and most famously, woodwork. While Zouak Maroc officially launched in the summer of 2024, our journey began in 2014 when Sophie fell in love with Moroccan zouak while living in the medina of Fes. She often admired the stunning pieces drying outside the studio of the master artists at Zouak Souafine. Their friendship blossomed, leading Sophie to introduce them to digital drawing. Today, Sophie oversees the digitization of designs, marketing, and partnerships with artists at Zouak Maroc.

While we primarily sell our products online, using a print-on-demand model to ensure quality and sustainability, visitors to Fes, Morocco, have the unique opportunity to visit Zouak Fes (4 Rue Sidi Mohammed Belhaj, Fès), a zouak artisans' studio. Here, they can purchase hand-painted versions of our printed designs, offering a tangible connection to the craftsmanship and heritage of Moroccan zouak. By supporting these artisans, we aim to keep the traditional techniques alive and thriving, ensuring that the rich cultural legacy of zouak continues to inspire and enchant.
